Eve, who is a multi-instrumentalist, performs a mixture of covers and self-penned songs and is currently studying music GCSE to help expand her knowledge.

She said: “I’ve been writing and performing songs since I was ten years old, I’ve also been playing the piano and guitar since then too. I come from quite a musical family and it’s always been something that has interested me.”

Eve submitted YouTube videos of her singing to judges at Todmorden Folk Festival Youth Music Award who asked her to perform at a talent concert. After coming in as runner-up she was given a slot to sing at the festival.

Eve added: “I was really pleased to get the chance to perform at Todmorden Folk Festival, I’ve done a few gigs now but it was my biggest audience to date.

“I’ve performed at the Whittaker Museum before and Martin Coogan, ex-member of the 90s band the Mock Turtles, and owner of Vibe Recording Studios in Manchester, sometimes watches and said he wanted to offer me some free studio time so I can record a demo. We haven’t booked anything yet but I’m hoping to take him up on the offer soon.”

David Heywood, curriculum leader for creative and expressive performing arts (CEPA) said: “Eve is an incredibly talented musician and composer.  She has such a mature approach song writing and always goes that extra mile to deliver an outstanding performance.  It’s a privilege to see her develop as a musician in class and perform on stage in school.  She really is one to watch out for in the future!”
