Hothersall Lodge Study Weekend

One of the first dates to be pencilled in to our school calendar is our annual revision weekend at Hothersall Lodge in Longridge. Over the past thirteen years many students have benefited from this intensive, targeted study weekend.

It is held in April each year and students leave school on the Friday afternoon and return on Sunday.  The weekend provides the opportunity for intensive revision of English Language and Literature, Mathematics, Science, History and Geography to both Foundation and Higher levels. It also provides seminars/workshops on study skills/revision techniques and an opportunity to share ideas on mental and emotional preparation for GCSE.

Hothersall Lodge is a purpose-built study centre with excellent facilities. All meals are provided by the centre.  Entertainment is provided each evening, once the studying is over! (A barbeque on the Saturday evening, followed by Mr Hampson’s karaoke always prove popular – along with Mr Varley’s jokes!)
