The curriculum offer is currently being updated in the light of recent curriculum changes which have taken place in KS3, KS4 and KS5 in all subjects.

Humanities at KS3

The Humanities consists of the subject areas of Geography, History and Religious Education. Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG) and Citizenship education are also delivered through Humanities.  


Geography is taught in a themes based approach such as “Threatened World”, incorporating human, physical and environmental studies of the world we live in.


History is taught within themes at Key Stage Three; however topics are covered in chronological order.  The themes we cover are; Power, Movement, Empires, Beliefs and ideas, we look at Peoples’ Everyday lives in Great Britain and Ireland.

Religious Education

In RE, pupils study Christianity and the other principal religions such as Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism and Sikhism. We look at how these religions influence individuals, communities and society.
