Congratulations to the Year 7 girls Rounders team who took part in the Rossendale Schools competition. They showed great competitive spirit, teamwork and determination leading to a second-place win! Special mention to Marnie for taking one of the best catches in a Year 7 game that staff have seen for a long time!

A brilliant first season for our Year 7 boys football team! They were recently crowned Rossendale Champions after winning all of their league games. Well done all!

Message from Mrs Norman (Pastoral Lead)

Although I wasn’t with you all at the very start of your Year 7 journey, I feel so privileged to have had the pleasure of picking up the reins and becoming part of such an amazing year group. I am so very proud of every one of you – We’ve had laughs, tears, frustrations and celebrations, but watching you grow in confidence and embrace the challenges you’ve faced together has been an absolute joy.
Year 7 is truly a team, and I have no doubt you’ll continue this into Year 8 – caring for, supporting and encouraging one another to be the very best that you can be.
A huge well done Year 7! Have a wonderful, well deserved break and I can’t wait to hear the stories of your summer when we return to take on Year 8! xx

Message from Mr Haydar (Head of Year)

What a whirlwind of a year – and what an incredible journey you’ve all been on! From the moment you walked through those school gates in September (some of you looking like your backpacks were bigger than you!), you’ve grown into confident, kind, and fully-fledged Alder Grangers.
You’ve tackled new subjects, navigated your way around the school like pros (eventually 😄), joined clubs, made new friends, and brought so much energy and personality to our school community. Whether it was smashing your first set of exams, showing off your talents in lunch clubs, braving your first sports day, or just making someone smile on a tough day – every moment has mattered. You’ve shown resilience, curiosity, and a fantastic sense of fun. It’s been an absolute joy to watch you grow this year, and I couldn’t be prouder of how far you’ve come. High school can be a big leap – but you’ve handled it like champs. Now, enjoy a well-earned summer break, recharge, and get ready to take on Year 8 with even more confidence and sparkle. Well done, Year 7 – you’ve officially levelled up!
“The sky is the limit!”
